Dojo Research & Consulting was founded in Charlottesville, Virginia in 2015 to provide engineering consulting services in the areas of flow and thermal systems. In 2019, Dojo Research founded a 200 sq. ft. basement Fab Lab in Windham, Maine, to provide additional services in mechanical design and prototyping. In 2020, all operations moved from Virginia to Maine. In 2021, electrical circuit design and prototyping was added to complement the mechanical engineering services. In late 2021, the Fab Lab was relocated to a 2300 sq. ft. facility in the historic Dana Warp Mill in the heart of Westbrook, Maine.
Since its founding, Dojo Research has provided engineering support to hundreds of customers consisting mainly of individuals, start-ups and small businesses.
